I was listening to a recording with Eddie Cantor & Jimmy Durante talking about when they started in "show biz" with the "Gus Edwards" kids. My Father was one of those kids in the early part of the 20th century. He never became famous although he was a chorus boy behind Al Jolson and he was in Vaudeville for a while. He did entertain all his life, mostly the "borsht circuit" in the Catskill Mtns. in NY and later in Connecticut. What fun it is to hear Cantor, Durante & Jolson.
